The flood is over!

Hello Mythical Beasts!

The final, and most underwhelming of the five, is the proof of concept for the game.  Consisting of before and after for how the game animation will work, here are eight frames (keyframes) made into a .GIF file of the actual size, and the in game size.

And for good measure, here's the texture used...

And the updates are finished, hooray!

...Almost over.

Hello dwellers of the deep!

The fourth and almost final update brings us to the thumbnails of the cinematics, in which there is little explanation and much red line work.  I suppose I should give you folks a brief synopsis of whats going on, but I've yet to decide whether I'm too lazy to accomplish this.

Beginning with the opening cinematic...

Moving quickly to the end of the first boss fight against Edith the Fool...

Next is the conclusion of the second boss fight against First Acolyte Phobos...

Finally, you have the three endings: a good one, a not good one, and a bad one...

...and apparently I am too lazy to add a synopsis!

...and Continues...

Hello street urchins!

This post bringing up to the third of five, I bring you the character model sheets!  These come in all variety of shapes and sizes, from single, straight on character rendering, to full model turnarounds.  In the end, all of these will be five pose turnarounds, but for the time being they are as they are.

Starting with the Princess, the concept for the HUD (heads up display) damage progression, and general accompanying concept will be posted as well...

Moving on, we have Edith the Fool...

And last shown are the single pose shots of the Herald of the Abyss, Malcolm the Magician, and his familiar Birdtruger...

And with that the updates continue!

The Flood Continues...

Hello beauty queens!

Continuing this flood of updates I'll be posting the work that has been done on the LACE poster.  So here it is.

The poster is based (predictably) off of the original poster for DOOM, which looks a little something like theees:

In the end, the poster will need to be fully rendered in order to best mimic the original poster, and is the main reason that the artwork hasn't manifested itself as anything more than the initial line work.  However, this shall be revisited not before too long.

Hooray, onto more updates!

The Flood Begins...

Hello party members!

So, this will be post one of five to come in a very short period to catch this blog up to speed.  Posts or not, much progress has been made, and to account for that, I shall be getting all of my progress work on the blog in the next several entries (not including the presentation I have as Blogger doesn't seem to have the ability to hold files.)  So without further to do, I give you concept!

These two initial pieces of concept go hand in hand with the previously posted sketchbook pages, and explore looking at weapon design, dress design, and icon design...

Next examples include antagonist, boss, and monster concept for the game and cinematics...

Ending finally with weapon concepts, the names are as they appear in order: the Royal Ring of Ravishing Radiance, the Fairy Fist of Fabulous Fragrance, the Glorious Gauntlets of Glittering Glamor, the Sparkling Scepter of Shimmering Splendor, the Courtly Crown of Cascading Cleanliness, Lich's Staff, Magnum, and the Rocket Launcher...

One down, four to go!
